Where we need help

Supply chain operations and logistics is a highly dynamic team supporting Allbirds’ rapid expansion to 4 major continents. In the analyst role, you will support day to day operations and reporting for our multi-tier distribution channel across domestic and international markets. You will have the opportunity to develop key analytical, project management and logistics skills needed within a fast-growing business. You will build relationships with our managed vendors and drive them to achieve key business objectives. You will also develop and manage key reports and dashboards to manage global operational costs, KPIs and performance.

What does the job entail?

• Measure service levels and cost metrics for warehouse vendors, US retail transportation, and packaging.
• Prepare our warehousing network with critical information such as volume forecasts and key launch dates to ensure high business impact launches are executed without failures.
• Track inventory levels of Allbirds packaging within the warehouse network. Place orders as needed with international vendors for additional supplies and track order costs.
• Monitor internal and external communication channels such as Gmail, Slack, and Phone Calls to ensure immediate, proactive support to our fulfillment centers, retail, and internal stakeholders.
• Establish and grow relationships with key internal and external partners to become the subject matter expert on day to day operations.
• Ensure execution of daily processes with attention to detail through tracking, reporting and maintaining dashboards – troubleshoot problem items, and track SLAs to 100% execution.
• Review and improve upon existing internal Standard Operating Procedure documentation and regularly review with key stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Support senior supply chain leaders with key strategic projects. Recognize and communicate opportunities to drive continuous improvement and assist in developing the tools, processes and capabilities across all functions to resolve.

• You have an understanding of the Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations organization and are familiar with common supply chain terminology
• You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills that will allow for successful collaboration across our organization. You love working with people from all different backgrounds!
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to think on your feet.
• You have the courage to speak up and challenge the status quo and the drive to take projects from start to finish.

More practical skills needed:

• 1+ years working experience in supply chain or operations preferred
• BA/BS or alternative equivalent
• Strong proficiency in spreadsheet software such as MS Excel or Google Sheets
• Experience in project management software such as Asana preferred
• You are very well organized and are a master of email communication. This includes both proper email etiquette as well as providing timely responses to all requests.
• You are not afraid to pick up the phone and have professional phone etiquette for internal and external communication

You’ll work closely within our Accounting Team and key cross functional business partners.  You will be responsible for overseeing/assisting the month-close process, improving month-close processes, assisting with improving month-close processes, assisting in ERP projects, owning ad-hoc projects and reporting activities.  You’ll help us build a strong infrastructure to support growth and scale. What does the job entail?

• Own and manage end to end accounting processes for various shares services
• Streamline month-close process, identify efficiencies and drive initiatives across AP, AR, Treasury, GL, payroll, etc.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations for month end close
• Reach conclusions with an adequate level of rationale and then communicate / present the conclusions
• Understand how systems work to drive improvements and automation where possible
• Work closely with financial planning to ensure completeness and speak to variances from the Plan.
• Co-lead financial reviews with various stakeholders
• Assist in annual audits
• Assist in executing ERP projects
• Work with Controller to optimize month-close process
• Enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Coach and mentor staff members
• Assist in SOX implementation
• Assist / own various ad-hoc projects

What kind of person are we looking for?

• BA/BS or equivalent
• 5-7 years of accounting experience
• Big-4 experience is a plus
• Experience with SAP a plus
• Proficiency in Excel
• CPA is a plus
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
• Be highly organized and drive change
• Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated and able to thrive under pressure
• Team player, with a positive attitude, who is pro-active and owns accountability
