The position is located in the Counterintelligence, Vetting, and Security Unit; Deputy Coordinator for Support; Global Engagement Center (GEC); Office of the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs; Department of State (DoS). The incumbent exercises accountability for ensuring the GEC’s counterintelligence (CI), vetting, and security (CVS) posture is capable of proactively preventing or mitigating foreign actor attempted or actual penetration of GEC activities.

Coordinates activities and resolves major problems encountered in program implementation.
